Prepare your listing and get your house ready for the photography session.
It's time for your photo session! Now, you may have never had pro photos taken or maybe you have. Our goal is to make this a unique and easy experience for both parts. This tips will allow you to have the best possible session for the best and most professional results.Give yourself plenty of time to get ready. Rushing to the session will most likely result in a rushed feeling during the session! Remember that the key to a successful photo shoot is preparation.Knowing we have everything under control and prepared will help us focus on your photo shoot and allow our creativity to flow for the best result.
Home Photography Preparation Guide
We’ll capture both the interior and exterior of your home, focusing on all major rooms and key features. Garages are photographed only if they include special details.
If there’s something unique you’d like highlighted, please let us know before the shoot so we can feature it.
Interior Spaces

Keep pets safely out of sight and remove bowls, toys, and litter boxes.

Open blinds and curtains; clean all windows for natural light.

Hide all trash bins.

Turn on every light and replace burnt bulbs.

Turn off ceiling fans.

Put away children’s toys.

Declutter rooms—remove excess papers and magazines.

Make beds neatly and store visible clothing; standard closets are usually skipped.

Straighten dining chairs and tidy surfaces.

Conceal or unplug cords (except for lamps).

Clear refrigerator doors—no photos, notes, or magnets.

Move vehicles out of the driveway and away from the front of the home.

Clean outdoor windows if possible.

Remove or store hoses, sprinklers, and garden tools.

Mow the lawn and rake leaves.

Sweep or blow driveways, porches, and sidewalks (avoid watering right before the session).

Hide garbage bins from view.

Trim trees that block the front of the property.

Bathrooms

Clear countertops and tidy all surfaces.

Clean mirrors and fixtures until they shine.
